After a long search, this family finally found a home in their dream neighborhood. Though this 1960’s home had good bones, it was far from their dream style or layout. We removed walls separating the kitchen, dining and living spaces to create a light and bright space much more suitable for keeping an eye on the little ones and for entertaining guests. White slab front cabinetry, white backsplash tile and an asymmetric island countertop create a clean and modern feel. The walnut backed island and matching box shelf add the perfect touch of warmth and interest. We were thrilled find old brick behind the tile fireplace facade and simply painted it white and added a chunky walnut mantle to create a cohesive great room feel.
